The range of Coefficient Friction Testers is designed to find static as well as dynamic co-efficient of friction by a metal platform system. This platform is moved at a specified speed by a drive mechanism. This mechanism is driven by a screw, which is driven by a geared fractional HP electric motor. We test these products on certain quality parameters, so that our customers get a range of defect-free testers from us.
Other details of these testers are as follows:
- A steel sled of specified size, weight and covered with a micro cellular rubber sheet is provided
- Smaller specimen is wrapped around the sled and higher specimen is clamped to the top of the platform
- A load cell type dynamometer is provided to measure force for moving the sled
- It is suitable to check the co-efficient of friction of fabrics, leather, rubber sheet, rexine, paper, thin films and others.
